Market 7 is a community marketplace that features Black-owned businesses for the purpose of alleviating food and retail deserts in Washington, DC.


Market 7 Flea’s mission is to revitalize and restore the economic stability, holistic health, and the social needs of the residents in the Ward 7 community in Washington, DC. With the alliance of local entrepreneurs, strategic partners, and community investment, we aim to:


·         Provide a safe, intergenerational, and affirming space for thousands of residents and visitors to shop and fellowship


·         Stimulate the local economy by providing an audience and customer base for emerging brands, seeding small businesses and local entrepreneurs, and employing residents


·         Shift the culture and attitude of a historically underserved neighborhood to one of abundance, vitality, and total wellness


We will be opening a new 7,000 food hall in Washington in 2022. 



Job Description: At this time we are seeking to hire an Operations Manager to help with daily operational tasks.


The Operations Manager will help to implement processes and practices across the organization. The Operations Manager primary duties will include formulating strategy, improving operational performance, procuring material and resources, and securing compliance.


Requirement:


  • Bachelors degree (preferably in Business, Operations, Management)

  • Proven work experience as Operations Manager or similar role

  • Proven experience working in the food and hospitality industry

  • Proven experience procuring and managing service contracts

  • Experience budgeting and forecasting

  • Familiarity with business and financial principles

  • Outstanding organizational skills

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Excellent writing skills


Salary $65,000
